About
John Fitzgerald: Lead Vocals & Keys
John "Fitz" has enjoyed fronting tri-state area bands starting way back
in 1976 with Seraph, S.W.A.K., Toys/Vixen, Xplorer, Sidekick and Fitz
& the Cats. Fitz was raised on Motown until his little sister introduced
him to Aerosmith's first album, "Dream On." Then the addiction of Rock
n Roll took over his soul...singing (screaming) in the shower, humming
during class, probably the first "AIR" guitarist, wearing fake tatooes
(too scared to get a real one) and tight spandex pants (it was cool for
dudes back then). Today, Fitz can no longer fit in those spandex pants
but still has that passion for music and playing with this amazing team
of players.
David “DeeHaze” Hess: Guitars & Vocals
Dee, who sometimes answers to Dave from those who do not know
him well, is a tasteful guitarist who wields both new and vintage
guitars/equipment to deliver authentic sounds for each tune the band
performs. Dee’s musical taste varies broadly (no pun intended), as he
has played with such bands as Dead End (peforming old classics and
Southern Rock) Nursery Cryme (doing old Genesis, Yes, Rush, and
other prog-material), Kindred Souls (presenting original pop music),
Blackholz (playing current alternative rock) and Rockmeister
(specializing in dance rock music/classics).
Judy Helbig: Bass & Lead Vocals
Judy is a bassist and guitarist who began playing in bands at the age
of 13 around her hometown of Robbinsville, NJ. At 23, she moved to
Nutley, NJ and joined her friends in an all-girl cover band named
“Forbidden Fruit.” She was later asked by a management company to
join an all-female original band named “Scarlet Fever” based out of
Long Island, NY. Since the demise of Scarlet Fever, Judy has been
and still is the bassist for several of the local rock and blues bands in
the Northern NJ area. Although she is a full-time insurance producer
during the day, her singer/songwriter talent and commitment to music
has brought her to her latest endeavor “Rockmeister”.
Russ Deinstadt: Drums & Lead Vocals
Russ has been involved with a number of bands and projects
throughout his thirty plus years of performing including classic/party
rock cover bands Caliber and Detour, a Clapton tribute band named
The Journeymen, the best in blues with Blue Rain, Blue Roux, and
The Dennis Peters Band and an original band called Nemecy!
Russ has opened for Johnny Winter, The Marshall Tucker Band,
Molley Hatchet, Blackfoot, Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze, and twice for
Mountain featuring Leslie West and Corky Lang. Russ also performed
in the 2006 International Blues Challenge at the Blues City Café in
Memphis TN sponsored by the Blues Foundation, has contributed to
countless recordings both as a drummer and a writer, and has
recorded in many studios throughout NY and NJ, most notably at Cove
City Sound Studios owned and operated by Billy Joel’s sax player,
Richie Cannata.
